Statement

My work is a contingent ontology based in the anxiety of doubt, and the methodology of questioning and evaluation. The results are often at odds with the aesthetic demands of a cohesive body of work, though they offer transitive dialogues between the individual productions and the viewer. Attempting to articulate, or even discern the act of locating is inherent in my work.  I am interested in complicating the understanding of value, information, and identity by attending to the form in which those ideas are received.  Examination, through a practice of questioning what it is that asserts that object or idea.  What is the space between Nadja and myself (Nadja)? What about this bust is Elvis? If particular objects aren’t meant to have a traceable history, and aren’t built to last into a foreseeable future – how is it that they are?
